The University Library subscribes to over 35,000 academic journals, magazines, and newspapers, most of which are available online.
There are many ways to access journal and article content.
- Use Journal Search in OneSearch to search for or browse journals by title (e.g., Rolling Stone, Journal of Educational Psychology)
- Find article databases by name, subject, type, or provider
- Browse our print journal collection on 2nd Floor North
Browzine
Read your favorite journals online using Browzine. Browzine is an app for your Apple, Android, or Kindle Fire device that lets you read Library journals. Download the app, select the Sonoma State University Library, and log in with your Seawolf ID. You'll have access to nearly all of the Library's journals. You can get notifications when new articles are published in your favorite journals, read right from your tablet, and even save articles to read later. It's all free to you courtesy of the University Library.
Borrowing from Other Libraries
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides access to articles that we don't have in full text. If you're not able to link to full text, ILL will usually be able to get you the article within 24 hours. ILL can also be used to borrow books that can't be found in any CSU library. Find out more about borrowing from other libraries.
Microforms
Some archival newspapers and periodicals are available on microform. Our microform collections are available on the 2nd floor south. Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you've never worked with microform before.
